Football and Digital Assets Industry
Football has a deep connection to the digital asset industry. Several crypto companies have relied on partnerships with football clubs and gamers in an effort to go mainstream. As cryptocurrency firm FTX Trading Ltd sold a stake in National Football League star Tom Brady, Crypto.com signed a $700 million deal to rebrand the Los Angeles Staples Center as Crypto.com Arena in 2021.
Additionally, in May this year, renowned German football media app OneFootball raised $300 million in a Series D funding round with the intention of making a strong entry into the Web3 and metaverse space. .
