The Chiliz digital asset sports project has spear Scoville’s public testnet for the new Chiliz Chain 2.0 or CC2 layer-1 blockchain network.
Chiliz aims to strengthen sports and entertainment brands

The $CHZ token will power CC2, indicating a significant shift in the usefulness of $CHZ from an in-app currency for Chiliz’s fan engagement platform, Socios.com, to a network enabler for its new open and multi-vertical ecosystem.
The introduction of the CC2 testnet is the most significant expansion of the Chiliz ecosystem since the launch of Socios.com in late 2019, which pioneered the widespread application of blockchain technology by major sports organizations.
CC2 goes mainstream
The company’s CEO, Alexandre Dreyfus, said CC2 is already a mainstream layer-1 blockchain with the backing of its network of over 130 partners and connections to the world’s largest exchanges. He stated:
“This is a secure, network effect-driven development community where our existing partners and many other sports and entertainment enterprise and start-up brands can build a full suite of products. and web services3. And it’s all powered by $CHZ.
Along with the launch of the new testnet, the company is also making headlines for its ongoing community meeting. Chiliz is known for building fan tokens and the crypto exchange giant Binance has partnered strategically with the company to introduce the same for two major sports teams on their Launchpool platform.
