Japan, one of the leading countries in Asia, has many crypto-based projects. LINE, the country’s largest social media app, has confirmed the launch of a new non-fungible token or NFT marketplace.
LINE NFT Marketplace
LINE currently has over 90 million users and plans to offer all these users approximately 40,000 NFTs. To achieve this, social media app LVC Corporation has teamed up with a well-known major Japanese entertainment conglomerate, Yoshimoto Kogyo. The LVC Corporation oversees the crypto assets and blockchain business units of LINE.
Additionally, the first NFT collection was published on April 13 and included videos from in-house Yoshimoto NFT Theater. Yoshimoto NFT Theater has 28 groups and 54 types of orders ranging from popular artists such as Chocolate Planet, Magic Lovely and Newyork to veterans.
The person who completes all 54 types will receive a signed NFT of 27 groups of artists who participated in the check for a limited time. Additionally, the first NFT collection in partnership with LINE NFT marketplace will also include Patlabor the Mobile Police, a well-known anime series.

Storage via BitMa Wallet
Another important fact is that buyers will be able to store their NFTs through the LINE BitMa wallet which was built in partnership with a leading crypto exchange, BitMax. The launch of a new NFT marketplace is another vital leap taken by LINE in the world of crypto.
It is worth mentioning here that the social media app is one of the most crypto-friendly companies in Japan that had recently decided to offer LINE’s LINK crypto-asset as a “payment option at select online merchants for a trial period from March 16 to December 26, 2022 in Japan.” With the use of LINE Pay, buyers will be able to pay merchants using LINK.
